Help - adobearm.exe Adobearm

Purpose of adobearm.exe:

adobearm.exe task purpose and description:

AdobeARM.exe is a file which may have been installed on your system by you or installed with another program or package. The actual hard drive location and folder is also listed below for you, as you can always verify where its located on your hard drive, as this makes sure it is not spyware, adware, or virus related. Sometimes the spyware or virus writers simply place a similiar or same named file elsewhere on your computer hoping to fool you into thinking the rogue software is a good software module instead. This AdobeARM.exe is often confused with mobile related software since Arm is a popular mobile chip that is in almost every mobile device (trades under the armh stock symbol). That has nothing to do with AdobeARM.exe. This file is from Adobe, and it is part of the Adobe reader manager software that manages software updates. I usually like to just manage software updates myself instead of having background programs running and exchanging information with servers. This file is considered a safe file, and it is not known to be related to any spyware, adware or virus related installations. (However as I stated, I prefer to manage this stuff myself so I removed this from my registry startup list). (See the details below for the actual location of this file.)

General information:
Be aware that many tasks will be similiar names to existing tasks or processes. You can always view the running tasks on your computer by pressing ctrl-alt-del to view the windows "task manager", and then view the "processes" tab. This will show you all tasks running or currently active on your PC. Although this shows you all running tasks, it does not show dll file thats are loaded, as they get loaded as part of other processes. Many spyware writers attempt to hide their files on your computer, for example, adobearm.exe may be intentionally misspelled to look like a similiar task, or spyware may be named very similiar to a Windows system task. The reason they do this is so you cannot easily recognize the name in your tasklist as I have mentioned above. Make sure always check the location of the file if you are concerned. You can always find the location of adobearm.exe on your computer by using your Windows search options, but I will also try to list the file location of every file described on this website, so you can verify the correct location.
