Asked by Anonymous - Laptop asking for bitlocker recovery key: I am getting a message after doing windows install that I need to enter my bitlocker recovery key (bunch of numbers).

Anonymous Says: Is that a work related notebook ? Most are for this type of thing, if so your desktop support will have it, call your support desk and they will give you the numbers.  Usually you give the first 8 bytes of that recover key showing on your screen, and they can look up your entire key.

Anonymous Says: Yes, the recovery key does expire so saving it wont do you much good unless you have to redo it again the same day.
