Asked by Anonymous - Stepped On Bathroom Tile And Water Came Up Between Tiles :
I was walking on my bathroom tile, and water was coming up between the tiles, like there was a little puddle on the tile. At first I thought maybe it was just from getting out of the shower, but I noticed the water was there more then one day and should have been dry, and so I stepped on that tile and saw a little water coming up between the 2 tiles. What would cause this?

Most likely a wall leak somewhere. Water can leak down wall and settle under floor and cause this to come up from under tiles like you mentioned. You may need a plumber to find it, it could also be something like your a/c unit drainage pipe blocked up if you have upstairs a/c unit, and that could drain down inside the wall.

Check to make sure the a/c drainage pipe if upstairs isnt leaking or overflowing. That can drain down inside the wall and would cause this type of tile leak as water gets under it.
If the a/c drainage is blocked try popping lid off and on to create a plunger type effect (have a bucket to catch water thrown out as you pull cap off). Pour a little vinegar down there to get rid of hard water deposits, and pour a little bleach down to get rid of mold or other gunk build up, this will help clear your a/c drainage line.
