 Posted by Guest - How Do I Activate Windows Defender? :
I'm trying to activate windows defender and it wont let me. The options to activate or turn on windows defender are disabled and I cannot choose them. Any ideas?

Yes, it looks like I have to uninstall mcafee first, is that correct? Is that because antivirus cant run together at the same time?

In the past you could do this but starting in windows 8 they blocked this. Its easy to activate windows defender though because if you go into your control panel and uninstall mcafee, then windows defender will automatically activate, you dont have to do anything as it will turn on automatically once mcafee is removed.

I guess its to stop people from running many antivirus programs at the same time because that causes so many problems and creates conflicts between each other. So you can only run 1 antivirus at a time now on windows.
