 Posted by Guest - Authorize Computer In Itunes - What Does It Mean? :
I have 2 issues, first off what does it mean to authorize your computer in itunes? I'm using a windows PC, not a Mac. Its asking me to sign in with my icloud ID and authorize the computer.
Also, it says I have other computers authorized, how do I deauthorize a computer if its old and gone?

Authorizing a computer just means that you are telling it you want your PC to be able to access all your apps, books, music, movies, all that stuff. Its fine to authorize it if you have a new PC. It doesn't matter if its Mac or PC either, its the same.

To deauthorize your old computers just going into itunes, store, then view my account. Sign into with your icloud password and ID and under authorization just click deauthorize all. Thats gets rid of all your old computers that were authorized. Good luck
