Do I ever have to turn my iphone off or is it bad to leave the iphone on always even at night?

Your iphone shouldn't lose hardly any power at night, you can just leave it on (or charge it overnight while leaving on, etc). It goes dormant and mine may lose 1% or 0% on the battery, so no reason to turn it off. There is a small mute switch in the corner of the iphone which I love as I just flip it to mute the iphone when I go to bed.
